We will be performing a complete overhaul of our network infrastructure at our Ashburn, VA location. This maintenance is being conducted proactively to address and permanently prevent the type of switch-related issue we experienced earlier this week. Our goal is to significantly improve overall network reliability, redundancy, and long-term stability across all services.
During this maintenance window, our engineering team will be carrying out extensive work including powering down servers, replacing core network switches, reorganizing and rewiring cabinet infrastructure, and validating all network paths and configurations before services are restored. Because of the scale of this upgrade, all services hosted in this location will experience downtime.
We expect the initial outage period to last a minimum of one hour. After that, services will begin coming back online gradually and in phases as systems are tested and verified. Full restoration of all services is expected within approximately 2–5 hours depending on deployment progress and post-maintenance validation.
While the maintenance is in progress, we kindly ask that customers do not open support tickets regarding service availability, as our entire operations and engineering staff will already be actively monitoring the deployment and recovery process in real time. Any major updates or changes to the maintenance timeline will be communicated accordingly.
Our team will be working diligently throughout the entire process to complete this upgrade as quickly, safely, and efficiently as possible while minimizing disruption. Once completed, this infrastructure refresh will provide a far more stable and resilient environment and should eliminate the need for any major maintenance in the foreseeable future.
